What attendees said about TEDxMidAtlantic 2009

“It was a fantastic day down at the Brown Center, to say the least. TEDxMidAtlantic was a resounding success. Never having been to a TED conference before, I learned that TED isn’t so much about its acronym (Technology, Entertainment, Design) as it is a conference of ideas, thinkers and dreamers. The people who spoke were exactly that.” – Tyler Waldman

“I love Baltimore, I love that we are blessed to have events like this and I can’t wait to see all the good things that are coming.” – Jim Doran

“Today was a long but enjoyable day at TEDxMidAtlantic. It’s refreshing seeing so many different perspectives and open minds converge on a single stage at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Perhaps even more mind blowing is videos from every talk are already online for anyone to view.” – Russell Heimlich

“The beauty of TedxMidAtlantic wasn’t just that it was a compelling, full-day event for the speakers and participants, with talks and presentations that were food for the mind. The organizers and participants also did a great job of making the event resonate beyond the walls of MICA’s theater where it was held.” – Gus Sentementes, Baltimore Sun

“The conference was inspirational and thought-provoking, to say the least. I felt honored to be there, and especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet a whole bunch of interesting and interested people. I look forward to keeping up with my new friends.” – Scott Paley

“If you’ve ever seen video of a TED talk before, you know the basics: smart people, big stage, big ideas. That routine remained unbroken at TEDxMidAtlantic, which conducted its business of inspiration quite efficiently.” – Justin Kownacki
