Versatile mezzo-soprano Carla Dirlikov Canales has been acclaimed by Opera Magazine for possessing a voice that “grabs the heartstrings with its dramatic force and musicality.” She is also the founder of the The Canales Project (TCP), which through performance, research, education and dialogue, seeks to break new creative ground by exploring diverse artistic traditions in order to better understand our common past as well as our shared future.

Ms. Dirlikov Canales is a passionate humanitarian who for the past 10 years has served as a U.S. Department of State Cultural Arts Envoy promoting American culture overseas, giving master classes and teaching music to orphans and poverty-stricken youth.
